Feature · Location (optional)
Location check-ins with privacy built in.
Optional location check-ins for families: saved places, arrived and left alerts, and a clear indicator on your child’s phone whenever location is on.
Location check-ins
Designed for cooperation
Clear for parents. Fair for kids.
Location is off until a parent turns it on, and your child can see when it is active. Use saved places such as home and school to know they arrived without tracking every step.
- Off by default and always opt-in by a parent
- Saved places with Arrived and Left alerts
- Visible indicator on the child’s phone while location is on
- Short history that deletes itself automatically
- I’m here and Call me buttons for kids
How it works
- 01
Turn it on together
A parent enables location and your child sees a plain-language explanation first.
- 02
Save the places that matter
Home, school, grandparents. You get notified on arrival, not every minute.
- 03
Stay in control
Pause or end sharing at any time, and the stored data is deleted.
Questions about location check-ins
Does Tinyclock track my child all the time?
Only if you turn location on, and your child can see that it is on. You can limit it to saved places and arrival alerts.
How long is location history kept?
Route history is optional and short, with automatic deletion. You can also end sharing and delete stored location data at any time.
Will location drain the battery?
Tinyclock samples less often when your child is in a known place, which keeps battery use low.
